Brokerage Firm

A brokerage firm produces hundreds of millions of records of mainly numeric, financial data daily. These records are eventually archived to magnetic tape, but are occasionally needed fairly quickly, based on several search criteria.

1. There are substantial government penalties for not providing requested records within a short time, but it can take days or weeks to find the proper magnetic tapes and scan them for the data.

2. Writing to magnetic tape and storing the tapes is a cumbersome and labor-intensive process.

1. Indexing and compressing data with our engine to cheap, commodity hard drives allows for very rapid recovery of archived records – days of searching is reduced to minutes or hours, saving thousands in possible fines.

2. Archiving to our store can be nearly completely automated.
